Penobscot River White Water Rafting

From May to October the Penobscot is home to a number of white water rafting outfits that are great for family fun, guys weekend, bachelor parties, and team building.

 Katahdin Region Snowmobiling

The area offers over 400 miles of groomed trails - starting right from the driveway of the Lake Road House

There are a number of snowmobile clubs in area and the Northern Timber Cruiser club house is also right up the right the   road and a great place to start you day with a breakfast before hitting the trails 

 The local trails will connect you to ITS 86/85/83


The Ice Caves

This is a great 1 mile hike that will take you into underground caves with ice covered walls. The trail in easy enough for childern, and provides great scenic views of the Debsconeag Wilderness area and access to Omaha Beach.
