My 2 best friends and I travelled from Alabama to hike Katahdin. We stayed 2 nights at this house. It was perfect - clean, comfortable, and convenient. Michelle is a very pleasant, responsive, and informative person. Millinocket is a quaint town. When I return to this part of the country, I will definitely stay in this house again.

We were visiting for a long weekend and were looking for a nice place to stay that would be large enough for an extended family of 6. I called Michelle when we got into town and she met us and showed us around the place. This house was super clean . The beds were very comfortable. The layout was very open. It was close to family in the area. We walked to the local general store. I would definitely stay here again.

We rented this house for a family vacation. Had a great time. Close to town for restaurants and grocery store. Used the house as a home base for hiking and climbing in Baxter State Park. Perfect location for this! There were menus available in the house for some of the local restaurants which helped keep my 3 grown boys happy and fed! Comfortable and roomy! Michelle was very responsive to any questions that we had. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we are in the area!

    • Clean and close to Baxter State Park

We needed a place to stay so my family (2 young adult children, myself and spouse) could hike Mt. Katadhin early the next morning. This house was very close to the entrance to Baxter State Park, but also close to restaurants and grocery stores. The house was clean and we had everything we needed right there. It was so good to come back to a place for a shower and beds after the hike! The only thing that was a detractor to our stay were the loud logging trucks going by during the night. We had our windows open to cool down, and the wonderful whole house fan we thought was too noisy to run all night. But the next night we put the whole house fan to low and it was perfect.

My friends and I stayed at the house for a rafting trip this past weekend and had an absolute blast. Michelle was super nice and helpful, and the house was immaculate. Walking distance to local restaurants and general store, a perfect place for an outdoor enthusiast. Highly recommend it!

Wow what a great house! My friends and I went up for weekend of hiking. The house was comfortable, roomy, and close to the grocery store and Baxter State Park. The only improvement we could suggest is sharper and more variety of knives on the kitchen (and of that is the only thing we could come up it should give you a good idea of just how nice the place is).

Michelle was very informative and helpful prior to our arrival. She met us on our arrival at the house to help us settle in and checked on us several times while we were there, and also checked on us on our way home. The property was clean and comfortable. We used this as a base to go snowmobiling which was an excellent choice. We were able to ride 550 miles in 3 days. The only drawback (which we knew in advance) was that there was not a washer and dryer. She returned our security deposit promptly. I would very much recommend staying here to anyone and look forward to doing it again!

We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this beautiful home in Millinocket. Everything that we needed at the house was available and the renters were incredibly friendly and easy to work with! The house is close to restaurants and snowmobile trails are accessible just down the road! This house would be great at any time of the year with Baxter State Park close by as well! We look forward to planning our trip for next year!

My wife and I were meeting friends to hike the last section of the AT and the house worked out great for us. It was on the road leading to Baxter State Park and close to town for supplies. The property was spotless and Michelle was a fantastic host. There was plenty of room in the kitchen and dinning area to entertain our friends for a couple of evening meals. We even had a pot big enough to cooked lobster one night. We needed to make a last minute change in our arrival date and she let us with no hassle. The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been a washer and dryer. Thanks Michelle for letting us stay in your wonderful home.

This sweet, spic-and-span house was ideal for supporting our Appalachian Trail thru-hiker. Our hostess Michelle was immediately responsive to all our silly whims, and the location is perfect for Baxter State Park/Mt Katahdin and all points south. Acadia National Park is an easy day trip. The attic fan was as good as air conditioning for the summer heat!

Such comfortable accommodations! The home was recently renovated - brand new bedding was beyond comfortable. Living room area was great for family evenings after a long day at the park. Fully equipped kitchen and grocery store nearby made it very convenient to have dinner and breakfast in. Just a short ride to the park with awesome rafting in the summer. Michelle could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to visit again!
